Toy Library Assistant – Empowering Tamariki Through Play
- Onehunga, Auckland
- Category: Community Services
- Types of work: Library Services

We are a not-for-profit community toy library for children aged 6 months to 6 years, dedicated to supporting local families by making play more accessible, affordable, and sustainable. Our library offers a wide range of quality toys, games, and educational resources that support early childhood development and encourage positive whānau interactions. By borrowing instead of buying, families can enjoy a rotating variety of toys tailored to different stages of learning and growth—without the financial strain or environmental impact of constant new purchases. As a volunteer-run organisation, we are powered by the passion of our local community. We believe in the value of play, the importance of connection, and the benefits of working together to support tamariki and their caregivers. Volunteering with us is a meaningful way to give back, meet new people, and be part of something that truly makes a difference for families in Onehunga and the surrounding areas.
