Creative Capital Arts Trust

The Creative Capital Arts Trust is a small not-for-profit arts organisation delivering two major city festivals in Wellington on an annual basis. New Zealand Fringe Festival and CubaDupa street arts festival in Wellington. The NZ Fringe Festival is held for three weeks during February -March, featuring over 1,100 artists from around New Zealand and the world. Over 700 events are staged throughout the city. It is an open access festival running since 1990 and includes contemporary work such as cabaret, comedy, circus, dance, film, music, theatre, puppetry, podcast, visual and digital art. NZ Fringe 10 February - 4 March 2017 www.fringe.co.nz CubaDupa is an outdoor arts festival celebrating the creative spirit of Cuba Street, held over a weekend at the end of March. It includes over 110 acts and features over 1,000 artists involved in music, dance, opera, choir, street theatre, live installation and street art. There are 6 key zones within the pedestrianised city streets, with programmed stages, continuous street performances and 20 parades throughout the weekend. Over 60 local businesses participate in the event with street food, retail stalls or activities outside their premises.
