Whatunga Tūao | Volunteer Central provides services in Palmerston North, Horowhenua, Manawatu and Tararua regions. We support these communities on three fronts: Connection, Awareness, and Recognition. We match people looking for volunteer opportunities with organisations that need volunteers. Based on a skills matching system, we are able to conduct successful referrals. ​ Support Volunteers We empower people to achieve the best they can by creating connections to the community, to a purpose, and to new opportunities and challenges. We help find new ways to thrive through volunteering. Support Organisations We assist organisations in achieving their goals by developing roles, supporting the recruitment of suitable volunteers, offering training and making relevant information and connections available. Create Opportunities We connect the community through events and activities. We raise awareness about volunteering, and we celebrate volunteers through recognition events. We make information available through Social Media, Newsletters, and our website.
