SPCA helps protect over 31,000 animals in New Zealand every year. SPCA is one of the best loved and most respected charities in New Zealand, with a proud history of 150 years helping and advocating for animals in need. We have a number of successful SPCA Op Shops across the country which help raise valuable funds with all money raised contributing towards helping New Zealand’s abandoned, abused and neglected animals in need. For our Op Shops, we are always on the lookout for passionate and motivated volunteers who can commit to a regular amount of hours each month, and who are happy to carry out a variety of tasks. These include customer service, cash handling, sorting through incoming donations, merchandising items on the shop floor, general housekeeping, washing clothes and mending items that need minor repairs. Some of our Op Shops also need drivers to assist with the truck in picking up furniture and larger items donations.
