Meet the Need’s mission is to ensure no one in New Zealand goes hungry. We believe everyone should have access to the nutritious protein that is grown right here in NZ. We are dedicated to generating a regular, consistent supply of nutritious protein to families in need. We do this by taking generous livestock and milk donations from farmers, processing them, and turning them into mince meat and packaged milk that we distribute to those on the frontlines of food insecurity: food banks and community organisations. In our four years of operation, we've grown to supply over 130 food banks/community organisations nationwide with mince and milk meals. This is enabled with the support of our key partners: Silver Fern Farms, Miraka, and Fonterra. 100% of donations to Meet the Need go directly into feeding families, whether that be livestock, milk or cash.
