Make-A-Wish New Zealand is part of a global Make-A-Wish brand with 39 affiliates across 39 plus countries. We are a team of 17 full and part time staff in our Auckland based office and have nine Board members. Make-A-Wish is a volunteer driven organisation and we rely on our team of 150 volunteers throughout New Zealand to help us achieve our mission! We grant the wishes of children aged between 3-18 years who have critical illnesses to give them hope, strength and joy. We believe that wishes aid physical and emotional healing through building strong positive experiences. The power of a wish inspires the Wish Child and impacts the family and wider community. Wishes provide laughter, fun and create amazing memories, but they also continue to inspire confidence and strength long after the wish has been granted.
