Youthline is a youth development organisation based in 9 communities centres across New Zealand. We are really well known for the helpline that we provide, which is free of charge 24/7. We also develop people, invest in the community, provide services that are meaningful to our local schools, and much more. Volunteers are the heart of Youthline and play an essential role in making sure we are able to deliver on our mission. Volunteering at Youthline looks and feels different for everyone. We have some very defined pathways for those interested in counselling, youth work and events, but we are equally interested in volunteers seeking other skills-based or general volunteer roles. Our volunteers help out in the office, assisting at events or run fundraisers at school. Everyone has different skills and interests and we love hearing from anyone interested in helping us out! Our Youth are going through a tough time with an alarming increase in mental health distress and ongoing general issues.
