Aviva is a Canterbury-based specialist family and sexual violence agency, originally established as New Zealand’s first Women’s Refuge. Our services for people experiencing violence include 24-hour phone support; education programmes; support, advocacy and advice; and access to temporary accommodation. We also work with people using, or at risk of using violence; children who have witnessed or experienced violence; offer home security upgrades; Specialist Peer Support from those with lived experience; No and Low Interest Loans; and 24-hour sexual assault support.
