We are New Zealand's largest organisation working with refugees and migrants. We work with people from over 150 countries including China, India, Somalia, Iran, Iraq, Burma, Bhutan, Vietnam, Russia, Serbia, Cambodia, Korea, Japan, Columbia and Ukraine. Our volunteers teach English in partnership with adult refugee and migrant learners. Volunteers are trained on our NZQA-approved certificate and then work as ESOL home tutors. They teach English one to one in people’s homes for about two hours each week. Sessions frequently include learning about New Zealand culture.
