We're a buzzing hub of INSPIRATION, Of creativity, And Whanua.... To keep our community vibe we are looking for volunteers to join our team.There's always something new and exciting going on. With exhibitions changing over monthly, we're a community hub and attraction for locals and tourists alike. By volunteering with us you'll get to meet people from all walks of life. And being based in the cafe capital of West Auckland (can we call it that?!) as you come into the gallery on any day, you pass the humming of coffee beans grinding through the village so you have the best cafe scene at your fingertips. There are bus stops in the village from and to New Lynn train station. We keep it pretty simple so all you need to do is open up or close the gallery and help us to keep our welcoming atmosphere alive by having a few good stories up your sleeve. During the weekends you'll fly solo but we do love extra help during weekdays too, splitting days into two 3 hour shifts. Almost anyone, from any background and with any level of experience can be considered because we'll show and tell you all you need to know about the gallery and any sales. Manning the gallery includes - counting visitors (with our awesome clicker), transacting sales (minimal), engaging with visitors and opening/closing the gallery. You can do as many or as few shifts as you like but after 5 shifts we'll say thanks with an annual gallery membership as well as offer verbal references and certificates of service if you need.
