Dementia Wellington offers free resources to anyone affected by dementia including their care partners, whānau and friends. We work across Kāpiti, Hutt, and Wellington to support, inform and advise people on how they can live well with dementia in their lives. We also work to raise community awareness and understanding and to remove the stigma associated with dementia. Dementia Wellington’s main office is in Petone and we have a small local office in Waikanae. We are a compact team of 3 office based staff who support the work of our 6 dementia advisors who are all registered health professionals. Dementia Wellington has been working in the community for nearly 35 years. We are partially funded by DHBs, approximately 44% of our total income is through DHB contracts, the remainder of our income we need to fundraise.
