Auckland Dragon Boat Association is the Auckland Regional Sports Organisation (RSO) facilitating dragon boating for the Auckland region affiliated to the New Zealand Dragon Boat Association and International Dragon Boat Association (IDBF). We currently have 14 adult teams and 28 secondary school teams giving us around 1,000 members. We are a non-profit incorporated society and registered charity, run 100% by the paddlers who are all volunteers. Our goal is to promote, facilitate and develop the sport of Dragon Boating within the Auckland region, by providing training facilities, equipment, safety crafts, rescue operators, mentoring and events. Our teams are currently made up of: Breast cancer survivor teams Premier A - Mixed and Womens Premier B - Mixed Secondary School U19 Mixed Secondary School U19 Girls Secondary School U19 Boys Our members range from the age of 12 to 88 - Dragon Boating is a sport for every age.
