Presbyterian Support Day Programmes are for older people who are living in the community. The clients at our Day Programmes have dementia and memory loss. This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in a socially active programme that is rewarding and fun.
The Day Programme Volunteers assist and volunteer along side our friendly staff. They are a critical part of the team and are very much appreciated. The clients are provided with a programme of activities, morning and afternoon teas and lunch. If you like to and would enjoy you can be involved with the programmes activities.
Van Assistants travel in the back of the van and assist the Van Driver to pick up and drop off the clients to and from the Totara Day Programme in Rangiora. Our vans have hoists for the clients to enter and exit the vans. Your role is to assist the clients on and off the van. This is a fun role.
Presbyterian Support have Day Programmes for older people operating in Christchurch, Monday to Friday. The programmes need Van Assistants. The Van Assistant's role is to travel with the Van Driver and transport the clients to and from the Programme.
HomeShare brings a small group of older people, who may be socially isolated, together in a HomeShare host's private home for friendship, fun, laughter and a meal.
