HomeShare brings a small group of older people, who may be socially isolated, together. The HomeShare is in the host's private home for friendship, fun, laughter and a meal. As a Volunteer Host, you will offer your time, home and hospitality to enable those connections to happen. The difference you'll be making in the lives of older people is significant and we'd love you to join our team!

Presbyterian Support have Day Programmes for older people in Christchurch, Monday to Friday. The Van Assistant's role is to travel with the Van Driver and transport the clients to and from the Day Programmes.

The Day Programme Volunteers assist our friendly staff. They are an important part of the team and are very much appreciated. The clients attending the programme are provided with a day of activities, morning and afternoon teas and lunch. If you like to and would enjoy this type of environment, please apply.

Van Assistants travel in the van and assist the Van Drivers to pick up and drop off the clients to and from the Totara Day Programme in Rangiora. Our vans have hoists for the clients to enter and exit the vans. Your role is to assist the clients on and off the van. No driving is required. No experience necessary.

Age Concern Otago
Age Concern has a Visiting Service for socially isolated older people in the community. Volunteers will be matched to an older person to provide friendship and companionship on a regular basis.
