About this opportunity

The Whau River Catchment Trust (WRCT) is the principal environmental umbrella organisation for the Whau River catchment. The WRCT works to increase the health of the Whau River and and it's surrounding catchment through community participation and kaitiakitanga.

Learn about how you can contribute to sustainability, carbon mitigation and habitat construction- while undertaking the acts themselves!

Activities include : Mulching to prevent weed growth and help retain moisture for native plants, weeding to help protect natives, and planting (from July-October) to continue increasing suitable habitat size.

Site locations will change so please contact for more information.

All training and health and safety briefings will be conducted by staff on site.

Additional requirements

Must be physically able to undertake outdoor activity and some light lifting.

Time Required

Sessions usually run from 10-2, but there is a great deal of flexibility.
