About this opportunity
Lemington Reserve, Westmere
Tuesday 5th March, 8am – 4pm
Join us for a day at Lemington Reserve in Westmere as we help the local community group in the aim of restoring this reserve back to native bush. We will be removing invasive plant species to bring back the biodiversity of this lovely park. We’d love to have your help.
This project is part of our Connecting People With Parks programme, in partnership with Auckland Council, which runs every Tuesday and sometimes over the weekend. On this programme volunteers come to our offices ready typically for an 8am departure and we then take you out in our van to the project and return you no later than 4pm. Times vary on weekend projects (You can also meet on site if that suits you better).
For all our projects you are assisted by a qualified team leader who guides you through the tasks and can help you to identify and learn about native species of fauna and flora and conservation. Tasks range according to the season and the specific needs of the park.
