About this opportunity
On Tuesday and Thursday evenings we are lucky enough to have corporate and community groups come in to our Houses and cook dinner for the families. We require dinner hosts to help set up the kitchens and support the dinner groups while they are in the House. Good use of initiative is a must as you must be willing to muck in when needed or take a step back if the group prefers.
Tuesday from 3.30pm – 7.30pm or Thursday from 2.30pm – 5.30pm on a fortnightly basis.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The purpose of your role is to support the cook groups and some of your tasks will include:
• Preparing the kitchen prior to the groups arrival – empty dishwashers, get out aprons, cutlery and bowls etc
• Greeting the group at Reception, take them to kitchen and give a brief Health & Safety induction
• Supporting the ongoing needs of the group and checking if they need any extra support in preparing the meal
• Overseeing the clean-up after dinner and ensuring the kitchen is left as it was found
We do not ask you to commit to us for a specific amount of time, however we do ask that you agree to regular shifts and if you are unable to make it on a particular day that you give us as much notice as possible.
