About this opportunity
We are looking for amazing volunteers to support Breast Cancer Foundation NZ by helping at the exquisite Oamaru House & Garden tours on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th of February 2019.
On each tour, we have between 8 and 13 homes which will open to ticketholders. Each house will be looked after by a team of volunteers. We also have a central meeting point (the Hub) where we need volunteers to help. We have 4 shift options:
1. A morning shift on either day (will be from 9am-1pm). As a volunteer on this shift you may then visit the homes on the afternoon of the day you are volunteering only.
2. An afternoon shift on either day (will be from 12:30pm-4:30pm). As a volunteer on this shift you may then visit the homes on the morning of the day you are volunteering only.
3. A full day shift as a supervisor of a home (9am - 4.30pm). As a supervisor, you are responsible for looking after the team of volunteers and relationship with the homeowner of your assigned house. Supervisors will be able to attend the tour on the day that they are not volunteering.
4. A full day shift as a volunteer (covering 2 half day volunteer shifts – 9am-4:30pm). Full day volunteers will be able to attend the tour on the day that they are not volunteering.
Roles involve helping greet tour-goers, providing information, security, crowd management, selling merchandise etc. All volunteers must be willing to help with car parking if necessary.
