Are you passionate about helping others? Want to use your skills to grow a charity focused on a disaster relief? ShelterBox NZ is growing, and we’re looking for a Corporate Partnerships Manager to help us increase the funding we need to deliver our important work. You will create, nurture, develop and manage sponsorships, corporate services, fundraising and social enterprise opportunities for ShelterBox in Aotearoa.

We are excited to be looking for a volunteer to oversee and execute projects and activities by developing solutions in the areas of partnership management and partnership communications and help us reach our ambitious goal; to provide the tools for people all over the world to rebuild their lives after disaster or conflict.

You will be working closely with and under our Fundraising Team. You will need to show initiative, strong problem-solving skills, and have an eye for detail. We need a quick learner with a solid work ethic and a positive ‘can-do’ attitude. Our Nobel Peace Prize nominated charity is looking for a highly-motivated crew member with great sales and relationship management experience to join our team as Corporate Partnerships Manager.

ShelterBox New Zealand
ShelterBox New Zealand is affiliated to the UK world-wide ShelterBox aid organisation that delivers survival essentials to families in the aftermath of a disaster or conflict. ShelterBox began in 2000 and has responded to earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, tsunamis and conflict– everywhere where families need emergency shelter, the ShelterBox Response Team is at the forefront with its tailored aid containing items for survival. Since 2000 the operational frontline of ShelterBox in the UK has given vital supplies and shelter to nearly a million people in 90 different countries. ShelterBox New Zealand is a fundraising charitable trust, we are not involved in operations or deployments that are managed by the UK. ShelterBox New Zealand’s primary role is fundraising and awareness building.

The Role
The Corporate Partnerships Coordinator will assist our Fundraising Manager to deliver successful and mutually beneficial partnerships. This newly created role would suit someone who is ready to identify potential corporate partners and contacting decision makers within each organization through cold calling, following up on initial leads and networking. The ShelterBox brand is already well developed and thanks to ShelterBox UK, there is a wide range of marketing resources available.

This role would suit someone experienced or interested in:
- Developing a creative strategy that best communicates the attributes of the sponsorship options that best matches the needs of the target audiences
- Negotiating and finalizing sponsorship agreements
- Keeping the key corporate partnership contacts informed of ShelterBox activities

and who
- is independent and self motivated
- is creative and has understanding of sponsorships, memberships, donations, fundraising and other non-profit funding streams
- has strong experience in sales and great writing and communication skills
- has a genuine interest in the work ShelterBox does
