Can you imagine a time when fathers were not allowed to be present at the birth of their child, or a time when mothers were anaesthetised against their will during labour?

Thanks to Parents Centre we do only have to imagine these conditions, and these are just two of the many achievements the organisation has made since its beginnings in Wellington in 1952.

Today we have 50 Centres nationwide providing childbirth education, parent education, support networks and much more. The volunteer committee of West Auckland Parents Centre do a fantastic job of running all of our services and events. We do however need some help. If you have a passion for family & parenting and the skills outlined below we would love to hear from you.

The Role We are looking for someone to manage our membership database, handle reporting and renewals and to respond to any new membership enquiries. We need someone who is organised and able to work to deadlines. You will liaise primary with our antenatal booking coordinator and newsletter editor. Time commitment averages about an hour or two a week.
