Driver for the elderly (Car or Van) - Dunedin

Presbyterian Support Otago

Because many of Prebyterian Support's Club Enliven members are no longer able to drive, they rely on volunteer drivers to assist them in getting to and from the Club - which provides important social interaction and activities for older people living alone. Club Enliven is for people over the age of 65 years, it offers a range of social activities including discussions, presentations from guest speakers, singing and music, craft, outings, cooking and meals. Enjoy social engagement through this meaningful activity that is essential for a healthy, happy life, no matter what your age. You will have the opportunity interact, engage with older people and develop new friendships while helping them get to and from the Club. Core responsibilities include: Drivers can use their own legal/roadworthy vehicle, to pick up and drop off passengers, or they can use PSOtago's car or van which can be collected from Moray Place. Driving members to and from Club Enliven. Assisting members in and out of a van or car. Happy to chat with people over the age of 65 - respectfully and confidentially.
