Truck and Heavy Carrier Assistant - Habitat ReStore

Habitat Central Region is a well-respected charity and Community Housing Provider that supports individuals and whānau to buy, improve, or rent a place to call home. Our ReStore op-shops raise vital funds that support our local housing programmes and initiatives, and volunteers play a key role in bringing our stores to life.

We're looking for a punctual and reliable volunteer to accompany our truck driver while dropping off or picking up generously donated items from members of our community.

Responsibilities will include:

• Loading and unloading: Assisting with lifting furniture and other donations onto and off the company truck.

• Community engagement: Interacting with diverse and generous members of our community.

• Additional duties: There may be opportunities to help arrange donated furniture within our store, if needed.
