Volunteer Quantity Surveyor

Restore Hibiscus and Bays is a Not For Profit Society active in the removal of pest plants, pest animals and stream protection in Auckland's Hibiscus Coast and North Shore Bays. We have a small staff and many volunteers who help us with the delivery of these services. Our role is expanding and we have a need for a permanent office, meeting room and workshop / tool store. If we are able to raise adequate funds we plan to construct new premises on Council Land on the North Shore, possibly in the Browns Bay area.

This role requires a retired or semi retired QS who can assist delivery with the following:

• Provide cost estimates and budget advice. • Work with the Executive Team to refine and agree costs and budgets • Provide assistance with drafting a construction contract • Assist with selection of the building contractor • Attend to construction payments and claims for extras • Monitor budget. • Prepare the final account and sign off.
