Youth Worker / Support - Wednesdays 4:00-7:00pm

Each week the Welcome Bay Community Centre runs a Commnity Play programme with Bay Active, to give rangatahi in the area a fun afternoon following school.

We have Teenagers programme (12-16Y) on Wednesdays 4:30pm-6:30pm. It is a safe space programme, with kai provided, run by WBCC. Facilitators will be joining for this programme to include basketball, competitions, music, dance, art and other sports and fun as well as wellbeing, non-violent communication, sexual harm prevention and consent, budgeting, counselling, art therapies, etc.

Volunteers must pass a Police check and be willing to commit consistently to the programme. We are a fun and supportive team who value our volunteers and provide training opportunities.

Volunteers would help with preparing kai (chopping fruit, vegetables, positioning chairs etc), running and participating in the programme, cleaning after.
