Grounds Care Volunteers
Hohepa Wellington managed by Volunteer Kapiti

Are you passionate about the environment and connecting with nature? Want to make a positive impact on the community? We need your energy and enthusiasm for the natural environment to help maintain and enhance our 3.5 hectare site in Otaihanga.
At H?hepa Wellington we provide 24/7 active support to individuals with intellectual disabilities. By encouraging participation in a wide range of educational, sporting, cultural and community activities we support each person to live a full and happy life, whatever that means to them. Our grounds provide spaces for the people we support to connect with the natural environment, and our values of sustainability, connection, whakamana (empowerment), responsiveness, and tika and pono (integrity) guide everything our service does. We are looking for volunteers with good site maintenance skills to help support the work of our Estate Environmental Lead.
Tasks include:
- ride-on and push lawn mowing
- tree maintenance
- weed wacking
- composting
- and general grounds maintenance.
