Volunteer Service Leader
Join us in our mission to Positively Connect Communities across Hawke's Bay. We don't have all the answers to homelessness, but what we can provide is free clean laundry, a warm shower and genuine conversation to those doing it tough.
As an Orange Sky (OS) Service Leader, you will guide the volunteer leadership team to ensure an efficient service and an awesome experience for all volunteers and friends (people experiencing homelessness) on shift. You will support the team with rostering, scouting new shift sites to continue to grow sustainable services in your region.
A week in the life of a Service Leader may look like:
- Provide leadership to the volunteer team, including mentoring, coaching, training and conflict resolution, as required
- Support the training and onboarding of new volunteers
- Build and maintain great relationships with Service Providers (partners we work with on shift)
- Assist in monitoring and resolving incident reports
- Liaising with Orange Sky HQ, to ensure we're doing our best work in supporting and empowering volunteers!
If you are organised, great with people, can communicate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and have a genuine passion for helping others you will be a great fit!
Training and ongoing support will be provided!
