About the Role The Treasurer is a key member of our governance team, responsible for overseeing the financial management of the trust. This voluntary position is an opportunity to use your skills to support our mission of empowering women through education. The position is ideally suited to a recently retired or soon-to-be retired experienced female accountant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and oversee accurate financial records.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to the board monthly and at the annual general meeting.
  • Develop and monitor budgets in collaboration with the board.
  • Ensure compliance with New Zealand charitable trust financial regulations.
  • Oversee the preparation of annual accounts and liaise with auditors as required.
  • Initiate discussion on and arrange for investment of funds.
