We’re on the lookout for energetic, caring people like YOU to welcome, support, and help young former refugees settle into life in Palmerston North.
Role Description
As a Youth Settlement volunteer, you may also be supporting the young people to navigate everyday challenges and adapt to life in Aotearoa New Zealand. Volunteers commit to support at least two events a term for two terms or more.
Youth Settlement volunteers empower rangatahi, provide safe environments and help create spaces where young people can thrive.
Your Tasks:
Provide supervision for children and young people,
Help create a welcoming and inclusive space for refugee-background young people through community-based activities,
Support the positive development of young people that contribute to themselves, their whānau, community and the world.
Training:
- Part 1: 07th July 5pm – 7pm – Online via MS Teams
- Part 2: 08th July 5pm – 7pm – Online via MS Teams
