Trustee, Phillipstown Community Centre Charitable Trust
Philipstown Community Centre Charitable Trust (PCCCT) is seeking a committed and experienced individual to join our Board of Trustees as Trustee. This voluntary position plays a crucial role in guiding the strategic direction of our organisation, ensuring the continued delivery of our mission of promoting opportunities where people are enabled to connect, learn, share, and work together for the Philipstown friends and whānau.
About PCCCT and The Philipstown Hub
Philipstown Community Hub is the beating heart of the Philipstown community. Run and managed by the Philipstown Community Centre Charitable Trust (PCCCT), the Hub is home to a number of community organisations that offer a wide range of activities, services and programmes to our local residents (as well as to wider Ōtautahi). Established in 1998 by local residents for local residents, PCCCT brings meaningful connections and deep roots to the area where it operates. In the last 25 years the Trust has maintained a strong link with the community and an innovative approach to the community development field.

Whether through residence, work or business, participation in local groups and events or other ties to the Philipstown Community. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. Commitment to the mission and values of the Trust, ability to communicate our mission and values to internal and external groups.
** Strategic Planning:** Ability to think strategically and contribute to the development and refinement of the organisation's strategic plan.
Advocacy and Networking:
Be an active presence in our community through engagement in Hub events and activities. Represent the hub in relevant professional and community networks. Advocate for the organization's mission, fostering positive relationships with stakeholders.
Qualifications No formal qualifications required, demonstrated financial acumen, with a strong understanding of nonprofit finance and accounting principles desirable. Time Commitment This is a voluntary position that involves attending a 2-hour board meeting once per month and participating in organisational events. The estimated time commitment is approximately 3-5 hours per month.
