Do you love animals? Do you want to make a difference in their lives? This is the opportunity for you! SPCA Christchurch are looking for volunteers to help with the daily care of our gorgeous animals.

What will be involved:

• Cleaning cages/ runs

• Feeding

• General cleaning of animal areas including laundry, mopping, litter trays and dishes

• Providing enrichment and lots of snuggles

As an Animal Care Volunteer you will:

• Be 16 years or older

• Be able to follow instructions

• Be reliable and hard working

• Be able to take initiative

• Have a LOVE for animals

This an exciting, fun and hands on role, that can be strenuous at times and requires a good level of physical fitness. An onsite induction and hands-on training will be provided to successful applicants, as well as ongoing opportunities to learn more about the care of our animals.

We have morning and afternoon shifts available, 7 days a week and a flexible rostering system that we can work in with your schedule. We ask that you can commit to at least 2 shifts per month (but the more the merrier!)
