On this day we are supporting Willowbank Reserve Care Group to look after the ecology and heritage of Willowbank Reserve in Tawa which is 5.5 ha in size. This means we will be looking after previously planted natives, picking up litter, caring for the stream, eels and other life within the stream, combating pests such as blackberry, broom, gorse, convolvulus and whatever else is growing there, whilst cherishing and enhancing the heritage and ecological values. This group has been working in the Willowbank Reserve for several years. What to wear/bring: Sturdy boots, long sleeves and long trousers are essential. Ensure you pack warm clothes such as a beanie, jumper and a rain jacket to protect you against wind and rain. Bring a full water bottle and food! What we provide: Gloves, tools and high-vis. Free transport available from Wellington City - get in touch to book a seat as spaces are limited! REGISTRATIONS ARE ESSENTIAL
