We are looking for a process driven person with attention to detail to serve as our Group Secretary. Our secretary is responsible for maintaining our Group’s records and paperwork, and taking minutes during meetings. A typical month would involve attending a 2 hour committee meeting, writing the minutes of the meeting and following up on actions from the meeting. No search and rescue background or experience is necessary, but it is desirable, so that reports can be written in context. If you have you own computer, great. If not, one can be provided. There is no operational or on call component for this role. You do not need to respond to a search and rescue operation. It is purely administrative. However, if you are interested in providing more support to the group, you would also be welcome to volunteer for other roles such as incident management, administration or field teams.
