Logo for Volunteer Wellington

Are you a people-person? Are you interested in history and social justice? This Wellington educational destination is looking for volunteer hosts to create a professional, welcoming and inclusive environment for visitors. The role involves greeting visitors and showing them through exhibits, discussing the Holocaust and the lessons and relevance to today. It also involves advocating the organisation mission (to inspire and empower action against antisemitism, discrimination and apathy by remembering, educating and bearing witness to the Holocaust) and uphold the 4 pillars (Witness, Remember, Educate & Act). You will be required to follow the Centre policies and procedures and Centre security and emergency evacuation procedures. You will work collaboratively with other volunteers and staff to ensure that tasks are carried out in a timely and professional manner. You will also be involved in assisting in the room set up and preparation for school group visits and will need to attend orientation, volunteer meetings and workshops. When required, you will undertake admin or special projects and assist in events. We have weekday and Sunday shifts available.
