We require volunteers to join our team of leaders who present the Scouts New Zealand youth programs to our youth members. This involves during the school term the following:

  • attending a weekly session for up to two hours
  • complete evening/weekend training as required
  • plan and lead one session per month
  • attend occasional leader/planning meetings, and trips/camps

You can select the age group you would prefer to work with from Keas (6 to 8-year-olds), Cubs (8 to 10-year-olds), or Scouts (10 to 14-year-olds), and which evening suits you best.

No experience needed, but previous work with youth would be an advantage.

It is a requirement of the Scouts NZ Health & Safety policy that you pass a Police check, and adhere to the child safety policies of Scouts NZ. You can find out more at the Scouts NZ website.
