Crisis Line Volunteer

Hutt Valley Women's Refuge

As a volunteer you will make a measurable difference to those affected by family violence. Whether as a kind voice at the end of the line or by facilitating refuge to women and children in immediate need.

Our Crisis Line operates 24/7, answered during the day by our staff and after hours patched through to our volunteers. Calls will come from women who are in difficult situations but are not urgent as well as those in crisis who are in need of immediate refuge. We will provide you with the necessary training to ensure you can tell the difference.
