St John Operations Volunteers help us achieve our mission of improving the health and wellbeing of all New Zealanders, by providing quality care to patients in their local communities.
We currently have several opportunities for non-clinical volunteers to provide support to our busy Hamilton workshop. You will be helping with moving vehicles around the area, as well as supporting our Operations team with logistics on a day to day basis.
The role is on a “as and when required” basis. To give you an idea of the commitment required, we would need you to volunteer approximately one day per week, from Monday to Friday. As a member of a highly visible and well-respected organisation, you will ensure that professionalism and excellence is maintained at all times.
What do you need to be a volunteer?
• A full and clean NZ driver's licence for at least 12 months or have completed an approved NZTA advanced driving course (if full licence held for less than 12 months) • Be 18 years of age or over • New Zealand citizenship or permanent resident status • A clean Police record • Pass our interview and pre-appointment drug screening and health questionnaire
If you're interested in volunteering your time in a non-clinical capacity to support our ambulance staff and volunteers, we would welcome your application.
Applications close: Wednesday 5th May 2021.
We welcome and encourage diversity in our workforce and adhere to best practice equal employment opportunity principles in all aspects of our recruitment and our ways of working. Haramai ngā tai o te āniwaniwa, he kāhui rangatira tēnei, he kāhui whakamana tāngata whaimahi, e te iti, e te rahi e.
