Volunteering New Zealand is launching a youth working group focussed on improving representation of rangatahi on our Board and within the wider volunteering sector. We want to be able to ensure that the voice of diversity is strong in our organisation, and that we can be a template for others to look up to - especially for youth representation.
We're looking for young people from a diverse range of backgrounds - whether you're in high school, university, in the workforce, or unemployed. A background in volunteering would be ideal and the ability to dedicate up to 10 hours a month to the position until October is necessary. No prior governance experience is needed, although it is beneficial to have an understanding of how governance works.
