This role would be ideally suited to someone who has a background or strong interest in sales, marketing or client management and wants to use their skills for the greater good. Ideally, you will be ‘a little bit bold’, (ie. good at asking for things!) and a passionate advocate of Aviva’s work.
This role would suit someone who is interested in seeking a governance position in the not-for-profit sector in the future and is looking to gain experience.
The role of the Fundraising Committee and its members is to:
• provide practical support, advice and guidance to Aviva’s Fundraising/Marketing team; • generate fundraising/marketing ideas.
Examples of activities that members will be expected to undertake include:
• practical help organising an event, or volunteering at a fundraising event; • introducing Aviva staff to potential supporters; • seeking small-medium sized donations; • sourcing auction prizes; • selling tickets to events; • finding additional Committee members (by prior agreement with the Committee).
The Fundraising Committee has no authority over Aviva staff, clients, or Board, and members are not liable for any decisions or actions taken by Aviva staff, clients or Board
