Tauranga Riding for the Disabled

We are about providing goal-based riding activities that increase the ability, independence, and confidence of people with physical, intellectual and social challenges.

The purpose of this role is to assist our coaches in our therapy riding programmes.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist as a side walker in therapy sessions

  • Help with unmounted activities

  • Assist coaches and therapists with equipment for games and therapy sessions

  • Lead horses during therapy sessions

  • Help riders with fitting helmets and checking riding clothing
