Applicants will need to have their own transport to get to our Depot as we are located in Grenada North which is not close to public transport. Be reasonably fit and able to lift 15kgs on your own or 20kgs between 2 people. Our chiller truck requires a full clean driver licence with the driver being over 25 years old for our commercial insurance. Food rescue volunteers work with the other team members on weekday mornings collecting and sorting food donated to us by retailers and food manufacturing companies in the Newlands to Porirua area. All food is then brought back to our warehouse where our partner agencies are waiting for you to unload the stock and to take the food back to their foodbanks. Part time for a minimum of 3-6 months on a once-a-week basis (more often if you wish if spaces allow).
