GrandFriends by Surrogate Grandparents New Zealand Charitable Trust (CC54933) in on the hunt for a fab fundraising manager. We are a small, but growing national charitable organisation that connects families and grandparents for long lasting friendships and family bonds, and we need you to help us continue to grow.

We have had some amazing success in what we do and have truly changed the lives of many families and grandparents in New Zealand – but we need YOU to help even more people benefit from our services. And for that we need additional funds!

You can be based anywhere in New Zealand (but it would be helpful if you are in the Auckland region). You will report to our Founder and Operations Manager in Auckland. It is likely you will have had experience in fundraising before, and you know what you are doing in this area, and perhaps have contacts and proven ideas that work.

You will be liaising with our Coordinators in the Regions to assist and advise them on fundraising activities where possible. You will need to plan and implement all National fundraisers throughout the year. You will be supported by an awesome team, but we do need you to use your initiative and contacts and get stuff done.

It is likely the regions will host one fundraising event a year, which they may need you support with, and Nationally we will concentrate on 1 or two larger events per year.

You must be: • A fantastic communicator and not afraid to make a phone call or two. • A people person, who enjoys meeting new people. • IT savvy…mainly emails, our database (we use Infoodle and can train you) & social media (facebook mainly – although if you are an Instagram fan - we’ll love you even more!) • Organised and meticulous. • A get stuff done person!

This role is an important and very rewarding one. You will be involved in the planning, organisation and implementation of our fundraisers, and we want you to bring your ideas and experience.

This role would be ideal for a stay at home or part time working parent, or new graduate looking to get more experience in this area. You must be able to commit to 3/4 hours of work a week.

If you think this sounds like something you might be interested in please get in touch with us. You can email jo@grandfriends.nz or call us on 021 288 8875 (Mon to Fri 9am – 2pm please). We don’t need to see a copy of your cv, although it would help us to know where your skills lie, more important is a letter telling us why you’d like to get involved with GrandFriends and why you think you’d be great for this role.
