Communications (Digital and Media) Internships

Human Rights Short Term Auckland

About this opportunity

At Oxfam, we’re ending the injustice of poverty. For everyone. For good. Now we just need you.

Do you have a way with words? Would you like to work for a well-respected global charity and kick-start your career in the communications field?

Then join us and help bring Oxfam’s message to new audiences.

The Opportunity:
Currently, we have two exciting internship opportunities within our Communications and Media team for creative and skilled communicators. If you have (or are working towards) a degree in communications, marketing, journalism or PR, and/or commensurate professional skills/experience then we want to hear from you!

You will play a key role in helping to generate valuable exposure for Oxfam’s fundraising, programming and campaign activities, and will act as a key interface between the Communications team and the wider Engagement team on fundraising activities.

Working 2-3 days per week for six months, both roles will support the work of our media and communications team and have the opportunity to gain valuable communications experience, including playing a hands-on role in achieving success in media or online for both established campaigns and exciting new projects.

There may be domestic travel (which Oxfam will cover), opportunities for skills development, attendance at external meetings, and to participate in Oxfam’s lively workplace culture. We offer flexibility around your other commitments.
