We are a non-profit organisation that provides a shared platform for Wellingtons community organisations. We aim to connect services together and to be a voice for the community sector in Wellington City. Our network meets monthly and we share information in our newsletter. We also connect with key organisations and people in our region and work to determine: strengthen and share our voice. The role: Our vibrant and diverse member organisations are our lifeblood. We want to make sure we: Profile the work they do and capture and share the vital information raised at network meetings. That is where you come in. You will be responsible for attending network meetings and summarising the discussion that takes place. This will then be included in our monthly newsletter circulated to members and their communities. You will also be responsible for choosing one of our member organisations each month and organising to interview them about their work. You will then create an approx. 800 word article about this organisation which will feature both in our newsletter and on our website. Key tasks and responsibilities: Attend the monthly community network meeting. Write a summary at the meeting of key points discussed. Either send the completed summary to our web editor for uploading to our website or complete this task yourself. Approach at least one member organisation per month and arrange to interview a staff member. Write an approx. 800 word profile of this organisation for uploading to our website. Time commitment: We expect this role to take around 3.5 to 4 hours per month. This includes: Attendance at the network meeting. Arranging and attending an interview meeting with a member organisation. Writing and editing work. Person specifications: Interest in the community sector.
