About this opportunity

Waitara Plunket Playgroup runs on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to welcome and host the attendees and lead the group's activity on the 2nd Friday of each month (term time).

Working under the guidance of the Community Services Coordinator, the successful candidate will hold the following attributes:
- enthusiastic, friendly and warm personality
- patience with young children
- openness with parents
- excellent listening skills
- excellent personal hygiene
- good time management
- reliability
- great communicator (with regards to reporting/updates on the group; to advise of absences)

The role entails:
- arriving at the Waitara Plunket Clinic at 10am on the 2nd Friday of each month and opening up the building
- setting up the toys
- preparing the structured activity as outlined by the Community Services Coordinator
- welcoming attendees and making their hot or cold drinks
- facilitating the structured activity
- preparing morning tea for attendees
- having conversations with all attendees
- putting the toys away at the end of the session
- packing the structured activity away at the end of the session
- doing the dishes at the end of the session, 12:00pm
- locking up the building, 12.30pm at the latest

Successful candidate will be Police screened.

Time Required

2.5 to 3 hours, once a month on the 2nd Friday of each month (term time)
