About this opportunity
Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at 8 AM – 4 PM
Get outside and lend a hand at Selwyn Bush in Kohimarama. This reserve is full of wonderful regenerating native bush and host to many native bird species. A significant amount of work clearing weeds and replanting with natives has been done but some areas still need help to stop choking weeds from taking over areas of native bush. Come join the team and help build our vision of an oasis of native bush in an ever expanding Auckland city.
This project is part of our Connecting People With Parks programme, in partnership with Auckland Council, which runs every Tuesday and sometimes over the weekend. On this programme volunteers come to our offices ready typically for an 8am departure and we then take you out in our van to the project and return you no later than 4pm. Times vary on weekend projects (You can also meet on site if that suits you better).
For all our projects you are assisted by a qualified team leader who guides you through the tasks and can help you to identify and learn about native species of fauna and flora and conservation.
Book online at conservationvolunteers.co.nz or contact us at email@example.com/ 0800 56 76 86 to book or find out more.
