About this opportunity
Age Concern Wellington is a charity which provides services helping older people thrive and become an active part of the Wellington community. This includes our Accredited Visitor Service which connects lonely, isolated older people with a volunteer visitor for conversation and companionship, and our Steady As You Go exercise classes which strength and balance and reduces the likelihood of a fall. Community outreach and support is at the foundation of what we do and we answer many calls and emails from people needing advice and support.
We’re expanding our services and have several new initiatives in the pipeline. Telling people about what we do and how they can get involved will be vital to our success. Can you help?
Our Marketing Coordinator(s) will work with our CEO and friendly team of Community Support and Outreach Coordinators to develop and implement a social media strategy. They’ll also help create our new email newsletter - coming up with ideas for content and coordinating articles and images for a professional result.
This role could suit one or two people depending on the time you have available and could appeal to a seasoned professional looking to give something back to the community or a student looking for some impressive work experience for their CV.
