As part of the largest humanitarian aid organisation in the world, New Zealand Red Cross plays a vital role in providing assistance to vulnerable people in New Zealand and overseas. Our mission; to improve the lives of vulnerable people by mobilising the power of humanity and enhancing community resilience. New Zealand Red Cross Refugee Services is New Zealand’s national refugee resettlement agency. Since beginning work in 1975 our service has helped over 40,000 former refugees start new lives in Aotearoa-New Zealand. We are proud to assist with the successful resettlement of around 750 quota refugees into New Zealand communities each year.
