AphasiaNZ is a New Zealand-wide Charity with its Head office in Tauranga, providing support services, information, and resources to anyone affected by aphasia after stroke, head injury, or brain disease.
Stroke-acquired aphasia is more common than Parkinson's disease, affecting more than 17,000 New Zealanders with 6 or 7 people acquiring aphasia after a stroke every day.
AphasiaNZ does not receive any government funds for its work.
