Do you gamble on something other than Lotto more than twice a week? If so, would you like to help us by participating in the National Survey of Lotteries, Gaming and Betting Activities being conducted by Auckland University of Technology (AUT) and National Research Bureau (NRB) for the Ministry of Health? We are looking for 100 regular gamblers in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, and Christchurch. We are interested in hearing from people who: • are aged over 18 years • live in the Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, or Christchurch area • are regularly in New Zealand • have not already participated in this particular survey Participation in the survey takes around an hour and involves meeting with an interviewer at a time and place that suits you, with the interviewer recording your answers to questions on a laptop computer. People who complete the survey will receive a token of appreciation/koha, in recognition of their time. Contact Stuart at AUT to arrange for Stuart to give you a phone call to see if you are eligible for participating in the survey. The survey is completely anonymous. No one who participates will be named in any reports on the study. If you share your email, or SEEK, or computer account with others and are concerned about safety and privacy, we advise you do not select “Require Notification” or "Store these details on this computer" when you “Express Interest” in being a participant.
