Central Auckland Parents Centre is a not-for-profit volunteer organisation run by parents for parents. We have been educating and supporting parents in our local community for 60 years! Central Auckland Parents Centre covers the wider central Auckland area from Auckland City to Onehunga and Greenlane to Avondale. We are part of a national organisation of 46 Parents Centres throughout New Zealand offering education and support services that aim to meet the needs of as many parents in the community as possible, but more particularly parents-to-be and those during early parenting years. Our mission statement is "positive birth experiences and informed parenting in a community where parents are supported and highly valued in their role". Central Auckland Parents Centre offers the following core services: - Antenatal courses (childbirth education and practical parenting) - Parent Education courses, focussing on parents of newborns to 18 month olds - TENS machine hire, - Regular local eNews - Fundraising and social events throughout the year - Professional development opportunities
